TERMS VERSION: BCE-WEBSITE-V4-2026-07-22
Website review boundaries.
These terms apply to the Bass Coast Energy website and its initial quote-check or system-pricing request. They do not replace the terms of a later quote, design, installation contract, network application or rebate program.
An enquiry is not an order
Submitting the website form asks Bass Coast Energy to contact you. It does not create an obligation to buy, an accepted quote, an installation booking or a promise that a particular product, price, rebate or installer is available.
Checkout follows the final written quote
Bass Coast Energy does not sell an unverified property system from a generic shopping cart. If you proceed, the property-specific written quote or contract identifies the final system, price, inclusions, assumptions, responsible parties, acceptance method and any payment required. A payment is not requested until that commercial boundary is available to you.
Remote information is indicative
Address, bill, satellite, photograph and customer-supplied information can support an initial review. It cannot by itself confirm structure, shading, switchboard condition, phase, cable routes, asbestos, access, fire risk, grid approval or every site cost.
Preliminary property design
Bass Coast Energy may use specialist solar design software to prepare a preliminary roof model, module layout, equipment configuration and energy estimate from the available property record. The design source, input date, assumptions and unresolved checks must remain identifiable. A preliminary design is not the final regulated design and does not replace site verification or the review required from the responsible accredited and licensed professionals.
Final responsibility
Final system design, electrical and structural requirements, installation scope, price, network approval, rebate eligibility and compliance must be confirmed by the appropriately licensed, accredited or authorised party responsible for that work.
Retailer and installation model
Where Bass Coast Energy is named as the retailer in an accepted quote or contract, BCE may sell the system, procure equipment and coordinate design, network, logistics and customer communication. Regulated electrical installation work is subcontracted to an appropriately registered electrical contractor and completed by appropriately licensed and SAA-accredited professionals. Their names, credentials and responsibilities are identified in the applicable contract or required pre-installation documents. Bass Coast Energy does not represent that it personally holds those electrical licences or installer accreditations.
Subcontracting does not remove consumer rights
The use of a subcontracted installer does not remove any non-excludable responsibility that applies to the retailer under the Australian Consumer Law, renewable-energy scheme requirements or the accepted customer contract. Product, workmanship, retailer and installer responsibilities are stated in the documents for the particular system.
Your information
You must have the right to provide the information you submit. Please provide accurate facts and avoid sending another person's bill or personal information without their authority. The initial form deliberately does not accept uploads.
No guaranteed result
Energy use, tariffs, export limits, weather, occupancy, equipment behaviour and future program rules can change. Bass Coast Energy will identify the assumptions behind any estimate, but does not guarantee a particular bill saving, payback, generation amount, approval or property value. The Tree of Transparency is a way to show evidence, assumptions and open checks. It is not a certification or guarantee that every item has been resolved.
Quote challenge
Bass Coast Energy is a seller and project coordinator and may offer a competing BCE system after reviewing a quote. It is not an independent comparison service. “Beat it” is not a lowest-price guarantee. It means BCE identifies a stronger result on one or more disclosed measures such as comparable price, value or scope, design fit, or unresolved cost and risk. Any business named in the guide remains responsible for its own current offers, credentials and representations. A name appearing on the site is not an endorsement, criticism or ranking. Unless expressly disclosed beside the relevant name, Bass Coast Energy is not affiliated with that business. Comparisons are made from current documents supplied for review and may become outdated.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Changes
We may update the website and these terms as the service matures. The version and date at the top identify the terms shown when you use the site. A later commercial engagement will use its own agreed documents.
